Reviews
Excellent food and great service in beautiful location. Absolutely worth the ride through the beautiful landscape. Check the web site for opening days/hours!
My girlfriend cannot eat gluten which was no problem for the friendly chef. He even came to our table to ask whether the suggested replacement ingredients are okay to eat for her.
where to start?!
now we know how lucky we were to snag a table -- I was online and saw that the restaurant was booked out until the end of October, when a table popped in for the same day, a last minute cancellation.
Communication with the restaurant was quick and perfect when confirming at such short notice.
The drive through wild countryside was lovely, and once arrived it was immediately clear that this is a special place.
We chose the "menu première approche" at 65 euros - there is a bigger menu at 85, and wine pairings at 40 and 55, respectively. On weekdays there is a lunchtime menu at 38 euros.
The wine list is extensive, interestingly sorted by vintage, and well-priced.
The entire experience was extraordinary.
Service in the small dining room is polished while not being too stiff - lots of smiles from friendly and competent staff.
Good advice given on the wine selection.
And the food -- divine!
There is no printed menu and it is all a great surprise, and we settled into it.
Every one of the many small dishes was perfectly prepared, inventive is saying little, and fully accomplished.
Each bite brought explosive flavors and textures -- surprise after surprise.
Previous reviews talk about small portions - criticism I have seen frequently by people not used to service of multiple small dishes.
We left more than full (and that was on the "small" menu....).
We had nice local wine.
Next time we will go for dinner, with the big menu and wine pairing -- if we are lucky enough to get a table!
A hidden gem with amazing food experiences. Lots of local and vegan produce even though I also had some fish and bird courses.
The wine/drink pairing was a bit disappointing though. Maybe this is the reason the place only has one star?
Very attentive staff and the setting with the view of the water reservoir is great.
The new team in place is doing wonders in the kitchen and the dining room. Did absolutely not expect such quality. Two menu choices with the season’s and the area’s best produce executed with excellent technique. The wine list features mostly natural wines. Come early and enjoy the sunset and the wonderful view.
Great views, very nice and knowledgable staff. Best dishes were the salmon starter, pork tenderloin main and pavlova for dessert. Nice local wine.
Beautiful artistic delicious food in stunning surrounding and attentive knowledgeable staff
The view is very nice and you feel like you are dining in the mountain. Service was lovely and perfect. The matching wine was really interesting and very nice.
Amazing restaurant. Beautiful lamb roast. Seriously some of the best food I've ever eaten. Stunning views and lovely staff. If you are ever nearby you must visit. You'll need to book in advance.
